The Cat III Global Response in DRC will enable World Vision to respond adequately to the crisis and save lives of vulnerable children caught up in the world’s most complex fragile context. Our short term emergency needs include:

reinforced advocacy, child protection and education, treatment, and prevention of malnutrition among children aged less than 5 years, food assistance and WASH.

Our long-term goal is to support peace building and social cohesion.

Requirements include:

  • Masters Degree in relevant area (Int’l Development, Humanities, Social Work, Business Administration, etc).
  • OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience (minimum 3 years).
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in project design, proposal writing and donor relations for an INGO in a relief and / or development context. At least one year of field - based work in a similar, conflict-prone environment is required.
  • Solid experience negotiating with Government, Bi / Multi-lateral Agencies(US Government, German Government, Dutch Government, UN Donors…), and private donors.
  • Strong English and French skills.
  • Work experience in international relief and development in various geographical areas, or extensive experience in one area; minimum of 3 years – preferred.
