****BACKGROUND****

International Medical Corps, a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs, seeks candidates for the position of ****Program Development Consultant****in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****

• Lead in-country capture activities for new business
• Maintain a capture plan which provides the input/solutions on competitors, partners and win themes
• Coordinate and communicate with International Medical Corps DRC team in Goma and HQ staff to ensure established relationships will be maintained beyond consultancy period
• Establish winning consortia based on intelligence gathered and donor expectations; Securing partners and negotiating Pre-Teaming Agreements
• Meet with donors, competitors, potential local partners, and other stakeholders
• 80% of time will be devoted to working with USG donors, 20% of time to building relationships with non-US donors

****QUALIFICATIONS****

“To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.”

MPH or Masters of International Development, focus on health or food security preferred
Demonstrated experience collaborating and/or leading USG solicitations
Extensive knowledge of DRC development actors
10+ years working with non-governmental organizations
5+ years working in DRC
Extensive experience networking with donors and demonstrated participation in new business functions for USG opportunities with demonstrable success
Experience communicating and networking with clients and partners
