Dexis is seeking experienced a Knowledge Management (KM) Advisor to provide technical advice and institutional learning and knowledge management services to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The work location for this position will be in the DRC. This is a long-term position expected to start early 2016. This position is contingent upon award.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and implement institutional learning activities relevant to the achievement of the Mission’s goals and objectives
- Strengthen systems and processes that promote and facilitate efficient learning and knowledge-sharing
- Track best practices in knowledge management and adult learning to incorporate new or improved learning tools and approaches
- Gather and disseminate knowledge and information on best practices for high priority, crosscutting Mission activities
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional work experience in institutional learning, research, analysis, knowledge management, and communication
- Advanced degree in a field relevant to development assistance, such as development studies, organizational development, communications, or a closely related field
- Strong background in analysis and evaluation of development assistance programs
- Deep familiarity with the DRC’s culture, society, and development context or that of similar countries in the region
- Bilingual in French and English
- Must be authorized to work in the DRC
